A visit to the lake!
Wouldn’t that be great?
The sun is shining high above this gorgeous lakeside place.
It certainly would be a shame for all of us to waste
This perfect opportunity to come and congregate.
Shops and stands are nearby, too, for grubbing on some food.
Ice cream, coffee, sandwiches, and perhaps a brew or two.
Have a walk or lounge about,
What is there to debate?
The water calls, without a doubt,
Asking you to play.
The wonders of nature are often neglected.
With all this technology, it’s surely expected.
Might I suggest, if you’re feeling depressed,
Take a walk, jog or hike through a forest.
Allow a few moments to savor the beauty,
That nature bestows but we choose not to see.
The wind and the trees sing when swayed by a breeze.
Fauna and flora, respected with ease.
Watch the leaves dance in their windy romances,
Allowing the sights to beguile your senses.
A fight of fluff?
It wasn’t that rough.
All were armed well with pillows, so tough!
I gripped my cushion tight, swinging with all of my might.
Though when I say might, I mean childlike delight!
The sun was up high, warming the crowd and I,
as we charged in so fierce, though with nothing that could pierce.
Paying little heed to self protection,
warriors of fluff were in every direction.
Charging through to escape the skirmish,
my breath soon returned, but I was ready to finish.
Even though this battle lasted only an hour,
I will never forget,
this time so well spent.
Swinging and giggling like we were all kids again,
with pillows large and small, no laughter was contained.
Warriors of the Fluff, there’s no need to be rough!
All had some harmless fun, under the warmth of the sun.
For this epic battle, we surely had won!
